Overview

The Intelligent Communication and Network Laboratory (ICON) relies on the School of Control Science and Engineering of Shandong University. Combined with the Outline of the National Information Development Strategy, the laboratory focuses on the development of 5G key technologies, key technologies for intelligent vehicle networking, and communications big data processing and applications in order to meet major national strategic needs.

The laboratory currently has one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, one national excellent youth fund winner, two Shandong Taishan scholars, one Shandong University Qilu Young Scholar, and one Shandong University future scholar. The laboratory has 15 doctoral students and more than 20 postgraduates. The laboratory has owned and built a series of instrument and equipment platforms, such as massive MIMO experimental platforms, cloud computing and big data platforms, and GPU parallel computing platforms. The total value of the main equipment platforms More than 10 million yuan has laid a solid foundation for in-depth research on relevant frontier issues.

In recent years, the laboratory has undertaken and participated in more than 10 scientific research projects of various types, including 1 key international (regional) cooperative research project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 outstanding National Science Foundation project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and There are 2 projects above, 1 project of the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, 3 projects of Shandong Province's key R & D plan, and the accumulated funding is nearly 20 million yuan. The laboratory has published more than 150 international journal papers and international conference papers in recent years, including IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and other IEEE ICC, International flagship conferences such as IEEE GLOBECOM have been cited by many well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad, and have a certain influence.

In terms of academic cooperation and exchanges, the laboratory has established good close academic cooperation relationships with Southeast University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Munich University of Technology, University of Edinburgh, University of Florida, and University of Tennessee, including cooperation in applying for scientific research projects. Joint training of graduate students. The laboratory also successfully hosted the 6th IEEE / CIC International Conference on Communications in China (IEEE / CIC ICCC 2017). The conference created a record of the number of submissions and the quality of manuscripts from previous ICCC conferences, expanding the laboratory's domestic and international Academic influence among peers.
